On August 10, 2023, a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe in the Republic of Belarus headed by Ignatius Graham Mudzimba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, paid a visit to Belarusian State Technological University. The delegation was given an overview of the BSTU Museum of History and Education and the Exhibition Hall of Research Developments.
BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau made a comprehensive presentation of educational programs and research profile of the University and briefly described the collaboration initiatives that BSTU is aspiring to implement with its Zimbabwean partners. The parties discussed prospective cooperation projects that can be undertaken under the umbrella of previously signed bilateral memoranda and agreements. These may embrace such activities as double-degree training of professionals for Zimbabwean economy, implementation of joint innovative projects in the field of mineral fertilizers, construction materials (glass, ceramics), rubber, hydrolysis production, water treatment and land reclamation technology.
Ignatius Graham Mudzimba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus, highly praised educational opportunities and scientific potential of BSTU for further Zimbabwe-Belarus cooperation. He also expressed great hope for deeper outreach of the bilateral relations and his utmost willingness to support and promote the outlined proposals.
